A snapshot of the industry at the national level
Hispack 2024 carried out this quantification survey and sectoral analysis which is a unique instrument in Spain that is testimony to the contribution of the packaging sector as a driver of the country’s industrial, economic and social development.
The study quantifies, categorises and analyses the economic facts and figures of the more than 3,400 companies linked to the main manufacturing segments of the sector, which make possible the key role of packaging in the various industries in which it is applied.
This report contributes not only to providing an in-depth study of the current state of play, marked by a profound process of transformation, but also to identify the most immediate challenges that lie ahead, especially those related to sustainability.
The Side Events programme provided an excellent opportunity to get to know the activities and proposals of our partners and collaborators.
The session explored everything from sustainable regulations shaping the supply chain to innovative solutions, cutting-edge strategies, and technologies, along with fundamental practices for shaping a sustainable future. The goal of the day was to drive the harmonisation of logistics operations with EU Green Deal standards, ensuring compliance with new regulations and fostering progress towards a more sustainable tomorrow.
The event examined and highlighted the role that the Procurement function plays in enabling organisations to respond effectively to issues such as sustainability and innovation. It analysed how advances and new technological solutions can help through digitisation and how new skills required by Procurement professionals will be developed. The focus was also placed on how Procurement contributes to the competitiveness of organisations.
CEP and AMEC presented financing solutions for companies and addressed the countdown to EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) for commercial and industrial packaging.
Three of the main SCRAP organisations for industrial and commercial packaging in Spain were present: IMPLICA, GENCI, and ENVALORA, who highlighted the benefits of belonging to a Collective EPR System. Additionally, the event included Jordi Picas, Head of Infrastructure Management at the Agència de Residus de Catalunya.
The session, organised by the Beauty Cluster and Packaging Cluster, unveiled the latest trends and innovations in packaging and materials for the beauty industry.
Experts and companies in the sector shared cases and experiences that inspired and educated attendees for their future projects.
In a comprehensive programme of morning and afternoon sessions, InfoPack brought together experts to discuss strategies for the circular economy, eco-design, packaging innovation to boost competitiveness, the power of labelling, and much more. These sessions provided a high-value platform for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and best practices among attendees.
Hispack represents the packaging industry, a living ecosystem that is constantly renewing itself. Our mission is to be involved in this transformation and lead the change in the industry by means of meeting points and spaces for dialogue with the market.
